About the Role

We’re looking for an entry-level web designer who can own the visual identity of NextStep across our marketing site, product interfaces, and brand assets. You’ll work directly with the founding team to shape how the world sees NextStep — from landing pages to product UI to pitch decks.

This is a full-time role with real ownership from day one. You won’t be filling in templates — you’ll be defining the design language for an AI-native learning platform that’s already live and growing.

What You'll Do

Design and iterate on our marketing site, landing pages, and product interfaces
Create visual assets for brand, social, and investor materials
Collaborate with engineering to ship designs in code — not just mockups
Define and maintain a cohesive design system across web and mobile
Shape the overall visual identity of NextStep as we scale

Qualifications

Strong portfolio demonstrating web design, UI design, or visual/brand design
Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools
A sharp eye for typography, layout, spacing, and color
Comfort working in a fast-paced, unstructured startup environment
Genuine interest in education, AI, or mission-driven work

Nice to Have

Experience with HTML/CSS, Tailwind, or front-end development
Motion design or animation skills (Framer Motion, CSS animations)
Experience designing for SaaS, edtech, or developer-facing products
Prior startup or freelance experience
